FAQ - Summer camp questions

My child has medical forms, how should I give these to their counselor?
All medical information and forms are included in the on-line registration process.  If your child requires additional information please call or e-mail the camp office.

What time should I pick up/drop off my child?
Drop-off is the first day of camp between 6-7 p.m.
Pick-up is the last day of camp. It starts after our closing program at 3 p.m. and goes until 4 p.m. Parents are invited to join us for our closing program at the Outdoor Chapel.

Can we arrive early?
Absolutely! Feel free to arrive any time before this to tour the grounds and look at the cabins. Campers cannot register or get into their cabins before 6pm.

What should I expect at camp?
Campers can get involved in a variety of activities like: hiking, games, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, archery, creek walking, crafts, basketball, volleyball, softball, disc golf, fishing, & more.  Campers also have opportunities to grow in their Christian faith through Bible studies, campfire singing & devotions.

What should I (not) bring to camp?
Generally, we discourage bringing any items that will distract from time at camp. Most electronics, other then a simple watch, should be left at home. A full list can be found here.

Is there an early bird special?
YES! All registrations paid in full before March 31 receive a 10% discount.

Who are the staff?
CILCA's summer program staff are made up of Lutheran men and women who have completed at least one year of college.  All are background checked and trained in CPR & First Aid.

Who should I contact in the event of an emergency?
Office: 217-487-7497
Pastor Theilen Cell: 217-415-2311
