Challenge Course
Various physical structures have been placed throughout Camp CILCA’s woods to set the stage for an adventure in learning to cooperate and communicate with others in your group. Life and spiritual applications are made during frequent debriefing sessions. Camp CILCA facilitators consult with the group leader in advance to determine group goals and objectives.
Possible Group Goals: Group Bonding • Problem Solving • Improve Communication Skills
• Learn to Work Better Together • Spiritual Applications • Life Applications • Specific Lessons • And More . . .

Good for Adults
“The challenge course at Camp CILCA was a fun way for our staff to bond, and it helped us to understand better how we can use our varied gifts to work together for a common purpose. Participating in the Challenge Course as a part of our faculty retreat united our staff and helped us to start out the year on a very positive note.” - Kim

Stretching Games & Activities are intended to help the group begin to feel comfortable with other members of the group and warm up their muscles so they are ready for further physical and mental challenges. These activities also help the facilitator further evaluate the group's needs and dynamics.
Trust Activities bring the participants together to realize that to be a strong group, the members must trust one another. Some of these activities involve leading others, catching controlled falls, and learning how to spot.
Initiatives are challenging activities that occur in a field, in a building, or in the woods on the Low Elements. We call all of these group challenge experiences "initiatives" because through, them the participants are encouraged to take initiative to figure out a new solution to a strange new challenge. Some take place on permanent structures and some are portable.
Challenge Course Elements Include:
All Aboard / Landing
Poison Ivy Pole
