Closing Program & Check-Out Time - 3-4 pm
Campers will be packed and ready to check out following the Closing Program at 3:00 p.m. You may sign them out any time after the closing program and before 4pm. If you need to pick up your camper early, simply call the office or let us know at registration.1st Grade through 8th-Grade Camps You & your family are invited to a Closing Program on the last day of camp at 3:00 p.m. The Closing Program will be held at the Outdoor Chapel (past the basketball court and toward the lake), where we will introduce the staff, have a closing skit/devotion, and have the campers sing some of their favorite songs. Parents will then need to sign out with their child's counselor. Be sure to pick up leftover Trading Post money, medicine, and a camp photo.
Parent/Child Camps, High School Camp & Joyful HeartsAlthough there is no Closing Program, there is usually a closing devotion followed by the opening of the Trading Post. Going Back HomeWhen camp is over, kids are usually excited to see their parents, although many don't want their camp experience to end. Be prepared to listen to your child. He/she will probably have lots to tell you. Coming for the Closing Program will give your child a good opportunity to introduce you to his/her new camper & staff friends. The ride home is usually a good time to visit unless your camper is so tired that he/she falls asleep! Keep the radio off & spend time updating each other on the time spent apart. Help your child ease back into the regular routine; do something special to help your child feel loved & let her/him know she/he was missed. Camp is a place for kids to learn & grow in their faith. Encourage your child in any positive changes he/she may want to make in his/her life. You may want to have your camper write a "thank-you note" to her/his counselor.
All CampsMake sure to spend time with any family members who may not have been together during this camp session. Spend time getting caught up with each other and make sure to listen as well as share your own adventures. Ease back in to your regular routines, and be sure to remember the things you learned at camp and how your faith may have been strengthened.
