Check-In Procedure
1 - Check-In at Cabin Enoch--no earlier than 6 p.m.
Parents & campers check in at Cabin Enoch. To get to Cabin Enoch, drive past the camp office toward the Trading Post and Dining Hall. Park on either side of the road before you reach the stop sign and the swing set. Turn in all medications to the Health Services Staff (see no. 2 below) along with Trading Post money (see no. 3 below). Note: NO MEALS are served on Sunday (the first day of camp), so be sure to eat before you arrive.
Check-In ends at until 7 p.m. If you will be late, please call the office at 217-487-7497.
2 - Medications Collected
Medications are collected at the time of Check-In. All medication must be in clearly labeled original containers packaged in a zipper-top bag & given to our Health Services Staff at Check-In. For the safety of all campers, staff will keep & administer all medicine (including Tylenol, Melatonin, etc.) except those that must be immediately available (i.e., inhalers, bee sting kits). Camp CILCA's staff are trained in American Red Cross first aid & CPR. You will be notified if your child becomes ill or injured. Note: By Check-In, campers should have received any suppertime medication since no supper is served at camp that day.
3 - Trading Post Account Set-up
The Trading Post sells snacks, T-shirts & other souvenirs. Parents often give their kids $5-$20 to use for the week. Campers are not allowed to purchase anything other than snacks and are limited in how much they can buy per session. The Trading Post is offered usually twice a day. All money will be held in your camper's account for safekeeping, and unused money will be returned at Check-Out. Many parents purchase T-shirts & souvenirs with their campers during Check-in and Check-Out. Campers should not keep money in their luggage.
4 - Campers Move In
Campers move in to their assigned cabin, meet their counselor, and then stay with the counselor to get to know other campers in the cabin.
