GOD HAS BLESSED US WITH A BEAUTIFUL CLASSROOM.....

.....HIS CREATION

What Is Outdoor Education?

Outdoor Education is intentional and spontaneous learning that can take place during a field trip or an overnight camp retreat with one or more teaching areas.

Why Outdoor Education?

Students senses become more alert and their learning increases when they are put into new situation or environments.  There are also lessons that you cannot teach in the classroom.

Why Overnight?

While there are benefits to one day programs (including cost). Staying overnight multiplies the number of hours you can spend in teaching and other beneficial activities.  It also decreases the significance of your travel time.  There are also some activities that can only be done at night, dawn or dusk.

Why More Than One Night?

Scheduling a longer stay gives you greater flexibility in your schedule and allows you and your staff the ability to utilize more creative teaching strategies.

Why Camp CILCA?

Camp CILCA is not just a piece of property owned by Lutherans. It is a ministry, just like your school, that exist to share the Gospel and make disciples.  What makes Lutheran schools and camps unique Christian experiences not just bible studies and devotions but rather integrated experiences pointing to God as our Creator.
