Church Visit Possibilities:
Dear Pastor or Church Leader,
Camp CILCA Outdoor Ministries would like to improve it's ability to partner with your congregation in ministry, so we would like for you to extend an invitation to us to visit your congregation on a Sunday morning (or other prime time) so we can help them catch the vision of the ministry of Camp CILCA.
We have several goals we would like to accomplish while we are at your congregation. Not only do we want to tell the kids (and parents) about summer camp, but we also want to share with the adults our new year-round retreat programs for adults. We also was to give your members an opportunity to hear how they can support their camp through their prayers, volunteer help, and financial resources.
Here are some options you may want to consider when you contact us for a church visit:
We would like to do a 15 minute PowerPoint presentation with the largest audience we can. Many churches make it a special "Camp CILCA Sunday" and shorten the service to give us time to make the most effective presentation towards the end of the service.
If a PowerPoint presentation will not work at that time, we can go without and refer members to the Bulletin Insert instead.
If we do the PowerPoint presentation after church, during Bible Class, or at a potluck, we will need a screen or blank wall. We will bring our data projector unless your church has one available.
We can lead a children’s message.
We can lead a Sunday School opening with camp songs and 4 minute camp video. We will need a tv, or a blank wall or screen to show the video.
We can also talk to the adult Bible Class and show video. Some churches prefer us to have an intergenerational time with kids and adults together.
We would like a small table setup in the narthex or wherever possible to set up a small display board, brochures, and our laptop computer which would show slide pictures of Camp CILCA.
If you have a child, youth, or adult who has had a great experience at Camp CILCA, it would be good to invite them to share their story or testimony in some way; possibly a week before or after our visit or in conjunction with the day we visit somehow.
We would appreciate having a door offering to support Camp CILCA’s ministry, if possible.
