WHAT to BRING to CAMP CILCA
m Bible
m water bottle, insect repellent, flashlight (& batteries), alarm clock, watch
m shoes to run in (2+ pair in case of rain) (Don’t bring only sandals.)
m jacket, rain coat or poncho, sweatshirt, cap or hat
m old clothes and shoes that can get dirty, muddy, (paint?), etc.
m jeans & a long sleeve shirt (for hikes, etc.)
m one outfit for Sunday worship (if you are coming to the JS/JS retreat June 4-5)
m modest swim wear (one-piece preferred), sunscreen
m shorts, shirts (no revealing tank tops, etc.)
m underwear & socks, pajamas, a bag for dirty clothes
m a pillow & sleeping bag to lay on & a sheet to cover with
m towels, washcloth, soap, toothbrush/paste, comb, deodorant, shampoo, laundry detergent
m camera & film
m paper, pencil, envelopes, postcards, stamps
m guitar (optional)
m Lots of smiles and a great attitude!
Do Not Bring
food, gum, or drinks (except for medical needs)
electronic / entertainment devices ( games, CD players, radios, TV's, etc.)
inappropriate clothing / swimwear
magazines, knives
anything that detracts from the natural outdoor Christian experience
During your stay at camp you will be interacting with many children who will look up to you a lot. You are a role model for them and an ambassador for Christ-- His representative. Therefore, everything we do or say or wear should be done with excellence and with the highest standards. (ie. No underwear showing...bra straps, sports bras, boxer shorts, etc. No skin tight clothing, etc.) We want to represent our God in the best way we can.
