How do I get Thrivent Funds to pay for a hands-on work project?
There are two ways to get money
- Congregational Funds
- Community Funds
To get Congregational Funds - go to one of your three congregational Thrivent representatives to request Thrivent Financial's Care in Congregations™ funds. They will be able to tell you how much money they have left to distribute. Have a Thrivent Member click here for a tutorial guide on how to go through the whole process.
To get Community Funds - go to one of your 5-10 elected Thrivent County Chapter Board Members to get a form to request Thrivent Financial's Care Abounds in Communities™ funds for your project. You can request $100-$1,600. Fill out the form and return it to a Chapter Board Member to be voted on at their next meeting. If approved, you may have half the amount requested up-front, if necessary. After the project is done you will need to turn in a report form with ALL receipts in order to get reimbursed.

For all projects, you will need to have Thrivent Members (benefit members, associate members or youth members) from at least 6 different households doing the work. They form either a Congregational Service Team or a Community Service Team.
