WHAT to BRING LIST - Special Needs Camp

         Be sure to label belongings!
 

�� Bible
�� water bottle (we have some for sale in the Trading Post)
�� flashlight
�� insect repellent
(for some, taking vitamin B6 daily 2 weeks before camp, helps keep bugs away. Consult your physician.)
�� shoes to run in (2+ pair in case of rain) (Don’t bring only sandals.)
�� jacket, rain coat or poncho, sweatshirt, cap or hat
�� clothes and shoes that can get dirty, muddy, etc.
􀂁 jeans, a long sleeve shirt & a hat or bandana (for hiking, etc.)
�� modest swim wear (one-piece preferred), sunscreen, beach towel
�� shorts, shirts
�� underwear & socks, pajamas, a bag for dirty clothes
�� a pillow & sleeping bag to lay on & a sheet to cover with
�� towels, soap, toothbrush/paste, comb, deodorant, shampoo, etc.
�� sandals or flip flops for beach and showers
�� camera & film (optional)
�� paper, pencil, envelopes, postcards, stamps (optional)
�� original containers for any medication you bring
�� Camper Information Form & Health Form (if not already sent in)

Do Not Bring
�� food, gum, or drinks (except for medical needs)
�� electronic / entertainment devices ( games, CD players, radios, TV's, cell phones, etc.)
�� inappropriate clothing / swimwear
�� magazines, knives
�� anything that detracts from the natural outdoor Christian experience

Check-in Procedures
1 - Check-in at Dining Hall - Campers check-in at the Dining Hall (a short walk past the parking lot & swings).
2 - Medications Collected - Medications are collected. Medication must be in the original container & given to our health services staff during check-in time.
For safety, we will keep & administer all medicine (Tylenol, etc.) except those that must be immediately available (i.e. inhalers, bee sting kits). Camp CILCA's staff are trained with American Red Cross first aid & CPR. You will be notified if your camper becomes ill or injured.
3 - Trading Post Account Set-up - A Trading Post account is set up for snack and souvenir purchases. The Trading Post sells snacks, t-shirts, & souvenirs.  Unused money will be returned at check-out.
4 - Campers Move In - Campers move in and meet their counselor, then stay with their counselor and get to know the other campers in the cabin.
