JC ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE POSTED AFTER THE APRIL JUNIOR COUNSELOR RETREAT
Upon completing freshman year of high school (grade 9), campers are eligible to enroll in Camp CILCA's Junior Counselor Volunteering program. The JC program is not an easy task and is not one that should be entered into lightly. Junior counselors will be asked to assist in day-to-day tasks in the summer program that vary from assisting campers to various maintenance projects.
What's new with the JC program this summer?
This year, our JC's will be required to attend camp for two consecutive camp session weeks. This gives them the opportunity to see Camp CILCA from behind the scenes along with the traditional summer program. One week of their time at Camp CILCA will be spent assisting one of the summer counselors in a cabin with the campers. The other week will be spent with the program and support staff assisting with various chores including, but not limited to maintenance, kitchen, and service projects. Both parts are essential in enriching the camping experience for high school aged volunteers.

Please click on the file below, fill it out, and send it into camp. JC assignments will be completed on a first come first serve basis. You will also need references from your home Pastor or youth director as part of the application process.
REFERENCE INTO YOUR SPIRITUAL STABILITY AND MATURITY:
We will be asking for a pastoral reference to ensure you're an active Christian within your congregation. Regardless of denomination, we really want to know if you are mature enough to effectively serve Christ in this outdoor setting.

WHAT TO BRING: sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, Bible, spiral notebook, pen, flashlight, and appropriate clothing.
