
Family Camp - $210 (or more) per household family (all ages)
July 20-23 – 7pm Sunday – 3:00 pm Wednesday
Spend 4 days with your family in a relaxing Christian environment. Stay in a private cabin or one of our air-conditioned options or bring your own RV or trailer and leave the cooking to us. Plenty of planned camp activities and free time! The $210-$315 price is per family (per room) and includes meals. Kay Meyer from Family Shield radio program will be leading sessions each day for parents and will be discussing parenting (& grandparenting for those grandparents who come).
No other camps are scheduled in order to free up our staff to dedicate their time to leading the families in all the camp activities, such as swimming and campfire singing and devotions, Bible studies, crafts, etc. There will also be times for individual families to go off and do their own thing such as hiking, biking, fishing, archery, etc. You may even want to take in local area activities or attractions like the new Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. Extend your stay at our regular lodging rates.

$210 - cabin - a single room cabin with 5 bunks (10 beds). Each family
get's their own cabin.
$260 - Retreat Center with A/C - Each family will have their own bunkroom that
sleeps 12-16. (Families from multiple households who want to share rooms,
still have to pay the full per-family price.)
$315 - Motel-Style room with A/C - each room is designed to sleep 4 in a
full-sized bed and a bunk bed.
Each room also has a private shower & restroom. Families who need more
than one room will need to pay an additional $315 per room.
When you register online, you will need register the
head of the household only, and then list all other family members and ages in
the appropriate blank.
Kay
L. Meyer - is the founder and president of Family Shield Ministries, Inc.
and host of Family Shield, a weekly radio program broadcast on
eleven stations in
nine states throughout the Midwest. Meyer is a popular speaker and author on
family life, prayer, spiritual nurture, and learning to witness. Sample
publications include a chapter in Family Basics Manual (CPH, 2006); Teaching
Your Children Christian Values (Concordia Publishing House, 1996); Life in the
Sandwich Generation (CPH, 1995); Mission Field on Our Doorstep: Jehovah’s
Witnesses (Family Shield, 2004); Portals of Prayer; Teacher’s Interaction; My
Devotions; and The Adventures of Billie and Annie--Baby Bison. Meyer has been
the columnist of “The Great Commission” in the St. Louis MetroVoice newspaper
since 1994 and has over twenty-five years of evangelism and family life
experience. She is a Reconciler for The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod. Kay and
her husband Tjaden (Chad) have been married 40 years. They have three grown
children and three grandchildren.
Family Shield Ministries is a Recognized Service Organization of The Lutheran
Church—Missouri Synod. The name is based on Eph. 6:16 “Take up the shield of
faith.” The mission is ‘to educate and equip people, through the power of the
Gospel, to know Christ, grow in His Word, and strengthen individuals and their
families.
