Summer Camp FAQ's

What time is check-in?

5-6:30pm on the first day of full & half week camps not listed below.

(We are unable to take campers early unless they are with a sibling who is a junior counselor that week.)

7pm on the first day of HandiCamp (Sunday or Tuesday) or Family Camps

6pm Friday for Parent/Child Camps

Do you serve meals the first night of camp?

No.  Be sure meals are taken care of before arrival.  This is true for full week camps, mini-camps and parent/child camps

What time can I pick up my child?

All camps end at 3pm.  Most full-week and mini-camps have a closing program or closing devotion at 2:30pm that parents are welcome to attend.  The kids sing a few songs and the staff are introduced, etc.

Why can’t our child go to a camp that is for older campers…all their friends are going to be there?

For insurance/liability reasons, we are not allowed to accept kids who are too young for the grade we publish.  We do allow older kids to attend a camp for younger kids, but not the other way around.

Is there still room in this camp?

Most likely yes.  We adjust our schedules each year to maximize the number of campers we get, so just signup on-line and we will let you know if you are in the 0.3% of people who don't make it into their first choice camp.

What is FOB?

FOB is a rest time that stands for several things such as flat on bunk, feet on bunk, etc. Time can be spent resting, writing letters, etc.

What is TAWG time?

TAWG stands for Time Alone With God. Counselors take there kids out to somewhere around the camp for a time to spend in prayer and reading God's Word to us.
